The Patient’s Right to Health Services Consistent with Current Medical Knowledge in the Field of Speech Therapy

This article examines the patient’s legal entitlement to evidence‑based medical care under Polish law. Through analysis of key statutes (the Patient’s Rights Act, Civil and Criminal Codes, and related regulations) and public judicial databases (SAOS; Ministry of Justice Judgment Portal), it confirms strong statutory foundations for this right, the absence of civil claims against speech therapists, and the Patient Ombudsman’s active role in preventing non‑EBM practices. The findings emphasize the need for continuous professional development and enhanced patient awareness of evidence‑based care standards.
